Puff Puff Beer formed in 2011 in Eugene, Oregon, and relocated to Oakland, California in 2013, where the band built its core lineup: Antione Simmons and DeJonii Desai on vocals, Ryan Schaeffer on guitar, Carson Smith on bass, Ian McArdle on keys, and Isaac Schwartz on drums.

Over the course of the decade, Puff Puff Beer released three EPs —Great Decisions (2013), All About Love (2014), and Goons (2016) — and toured up and down the West Coast, playing festivals including Inlander Volume and Kohoutek Music & Arts Festival, alongside club shows throughout California, Oregon, and Washington. The band played its final show on New Year’s Eve 2019 and has been on hiatus since.
